About Oak Labs

Hi, I'm Evan Lowery

Husband. Dad. Neighbor. Coach. I've been writing software professionally since 2008. I build and run everything Oak Labs offers myself, right here in Bucks County. I started Oak Labs to help local shop owners keep their focus on the work, not the behind-the-scenes chase. Acorn is Oak Labs' first product.

Where I'm from

Rooted in this community

I grew up in Montgomery County and settled in Bucks County. My wife and I are raising three boys in Perkasie. This is home.

Local business owners provide critical services for communities like ours. Plumbers. Electricians. HVAC shops. The places you call when something breaks and you need a real person who shows up.

I built Oak Labs to help those owners retain and gain business. The internet and AI move faster than one owner can track. Their focus should be planning and completing jobs, not managing every missed call and late-night web lead behind the scenes.

Starting with Bucks and Montgomery Counties

We're beginning with independent shops in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Neighbors first. Then we grow from there.

What Oak Labs does

Acorn texts your missed callers in your shop's name and sends you their answers. I set it up for you and I'm a text away if something needs fixing.

Try it now: call (215) 631-8735 and let it ring out. You will get the same text your callers would.

Deep Run

Thriving in the weeds

For 8 years I was the Deep Run intramural baseball commissioner. Recruiting coaches, building schedules, keeping families in the loop, and tracking inventory. The unglamorous glue that keeps a season running.

I'm still on the board.

I still coach my three boys at Deep Run. That work taught me something simple. Small organizations don't need more noise. They need someone who will sit in the weeds and make sure nothing falls through.

That's the role I want for Oak Labs with local shop owners. Be the bridge. Be the glue. Help them keep up in a changing world without pulling them off the job.

Why this matters

Owners should stay on the job

Independent shops keep towns like ours running. When the phone rings while you're under a sink or up a ladder, the follow-up shouldn't vanish. Oak Labs is here so you can answer less mid-job and still stay first in line with the people who need you.
